Together We Have the Power

Beamingsun is dedicated to providing people and businesses a reliable source of information and products related to energy efficiency, resource conservation, and renewable energy. Our primary goal is to help you learn of simple and effective ways to conserve resources and save money, but additionally we will keep you informed of the latest advancements in renewable energy technology, alternative transportation, green jobs growth; among many other related environmental issues.

We also support family-owned small businesses that have invented or developed environmentally responsible products or services. By providing them a platform to promote and sell their products, we can help provide ways for individuals to support their families and contribute to keeping the environment healthy for future generations. The products or services promoted on this site have been reviewed and selected as meeting the highest standards of quality and affordability.

Jonathan founded Beamingsun.com in 2001 working as a freelance web developer. Since graduating in 1995 from Boston University he has held many real jobs with benefits and all. Currently he contracts for the FHWA Recreational Trails program as a web developer and trails specialist. In just about all his spare time, he passionately manages the vision of Beamingsun.com and their partners.

Jonathan was born in Warsaw, Poland and raised in Washington DC and Maryland. He graduated from BU with a degree in Psychology, but has been "educated" by the streets of DC and on the rivers and trails in Maryland, Virginia and beyond. He has always had a passion for travel, camping, boating, hiking, and photography. He was raised to respect the environment by being conscious of his personal impact, and by packing out more than packing in.

Jonathan lives in New Market, MD with a wife, 2 daughters, 2 cats, a snake, and a massage bed.

Lance Lessler, Contributing Member

Retired from full-time work for the Federal Government, as a physicist, I am now taking the opportunity to do a lot of things for which I previously had not the time. That includes experimenting with hydroponics in my backyard greenhouse; training my five White German Shepherd dogs; landscaping my new 4-acre homesite; writing articles on energy conservation and renewable energy technology; and writing a futuristic novel. My other interests include evolution of the human mind and consciousness, and tutoring at a local prep school.

Kevin Grauer, Contributing Member

Kevin Grauer has been working as a freelance copy editor and writer since 2008. His goal is to contribute to projects that rattle cages, open minds, and help people see the bigger picture – hopefully doing all of the above to himself as well. Kevin holds a degree in anthropology from Drexel University. His pastimes include hiking and other outdoor activities, reading classic and not-so-classic novels, and enjoying good beverages with good company.
